From March 10-16 I used the Urban Decay Naked Smoky palette. This is a palette that people seem to either love or hate. I was drawn to it because of the blue and purple shimmers and the pinky-taupe matte.
Month: April 2018
Bullet Journal Set-Up – May 2018
I am so excited to share my May set-up with you today. I’ve chosen a gorgeous purple floral washi tape, accented with the lavender Mildliner from the blue set. Once again, the layouts are generally the same, but the change in “scenery” with different colored accents really makes my journal feel fresh each month!
LORAC PRO 3 – One Week, One Palette #9
From March 3rd through the 9th, I used the LORAC PRO 3 palette. I chose this palette for this week because it was the palette I primarily used for my wedding look, and it was our first anniversary on the 5th! My husband and I went to San Diego for the weekend, so I wanted to use this palette as an extra level of celebration and nostalgia.
Project Pan 2018 Update #4
Happy Thursday! I’ve had quite a busy week at work, so I’ve been looking forward to sitting down to share my fourth Project Pan update for this year’s project. Last month, I revamped my project and swapped a lot of things in and out to better fit my needs for the project. Click here to see my last update, and here to read about the reasons behind the revamp. This month, I’ve had some ups and downs with my panning journey. Read on to hear more about my progress!
Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Vol. II & Tartelette Tease – One Week, One Palette #8
February 24-March 2 I used the Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Volume II & Tarte Tartelette Tease palettes. The main reason I grabbed for the Tease was because the two matte shades in the Rainforest palette needed a little help blending out and adding a few more colors to get me through the full week.
ELF Mad For Matte Vol. I – One Week, One Palette #14
April 7-13 I wanted to go for something more tried and true, so I grabbed my ELF Mad For Matte palette. This is the original Mad For Matte (now called Nude Mood) and it’s one of my favorite palettes to grab when I want to get some use out of the shimmery single shadows in my collection.
Wet n Wild Comfort Zone – One Week, One Palette #7
February 17-23 I used the Wet n Wild Color Icon 10-pan palette in Comfort Zone & the Physician’s Formula Matte Collection Quad Eyeshadow – Classic Nudes. I’d recently purchased the new formulation of the Wet n Wild palette (and the other new releases…I know…the low buy is going great *sarcasm*), and I was excited to try this out. I enjoyed the old Comfort Zone, but I was definitely missing some mattes.
Evening Skincare Routine
Following up on Monday’s post about my morning skincare routine, today I’ll be sharing how I care for my skin in the evenings. Below I’ll talk about my current favorite products, how I use them, and a few of my thoughts on skincare in general.
Huda Beauty Mauve Obsessions – One Week, One Palette #6
The palette I used the week of February 10-16 was the Huda Beauty Mauve Obsessions. I loved this palette from the first time I used it, but using it for a week really pushed me to use it in different ways.
IT Cosmetics Naturally Pretty Romantics – One Week, One Palette #13
Happy Tuesday! Today I’m sharing my One Week, One Palette review on the IT Cosmetics Naturally Pretty Romantics palette. This was the first week where I really struggled with a palette, so I hope my review can help you make a decision on if you’d like to try this or one of the other Naturally Pretty palettes.
