Huda Beauty Mauve Obsessions – One Week, One Palette #6

The palette I used the week of February 10-16 was the Huda Beauty Mauve Obsessions. I loved this palette from the first time I used it, but using it for a week really pushed me to use it in different ways.

This palette really packs a lot of beautiful shadows into a teeny tiny little square palette. I think it’s really great that these pans are the same size as the pans in the Desert Dusk and Rose Gold palettes, so you’re really getting a great amount of product for the $27 price tag. I’ve swatched them below, but not in order. I’ve done the shimmers together, then all the mattes. I think there’s a good balance of finishes in this palette, but I would make one of the shimmers either a little deeper or lighter since they tend to run together a bit.

I had one day where I did a full-on bright pink look, and other days where I leaned more on the deep shades to go for a more neutral look.

This seemed like the perfect palette to use for the week of Valentine’s day. Surprisingly, it ended up working nicely with a red lip – something I was worried about when I first started the look, but I was able to use a light amount so the colors didn’t come through so pink. (I can also confirm that this makes a great palette to use on Thanksgiving.)

I did have to supplement a couple of days with my sculpting palette since I wanted to wear things that didn’t go with the colors in the palette as much.
