From March 10-16 I used the Urban Decay Naked Smoky palette. This is a palette that people seem to either love or hate. I was drawn to it because of the blue and purple shimmers and the pinky-taupe matte.
I picked this up during one of the times Ulta had it on sale for $27. I believe this palette has actually been discontinued, but you can often find it at Nordstrom Rack and probably on some websites. I think this palette definitely does what it advertises – creating a nice smoky eye, and it gives a lot of options to do so.
If I could make one change, I would add another, slightly warmer brown or mustard-toned matte to offset the lighter shimmery shades, since they clash a bit with the mattes that are there, but I do like that this is a pretty cool/neutral palette – they’re not so easy to come by these days.
I generally liked the looks I created with this palette, but in the future I won’t be likely to pull this out for work – it gets very smoky very fast! (But can we talk about my hair in the first pic? I was feelin’ myself that morning!)
