ELF Mad For Matte Vol. I – One Week, One Palette #14

April 7-13 I wanted to go for something more tried and true, so I grabbed my ELF Mad For Matte palette. This is the original Mad For Matte (now called Nude Mood) and it’s one of my favorite palettes to grab when I want to get some use out of the shimmery single shadows in my collection.

At $10, this palette really cannot be beat for the price and quality of these shadows. As you can tell, this palette is for the more neutral shadow lover, and makes for a great everyday palette. If you’re looking for something more colorful, ELF has created 3 additional palettes in the Mad For Matte line – a warmer one, a cooler one, and a bright one.

If you’re looking for a basic, everyday matte palette to add to your collection, this is a great one to try out. For only $10 you can either supplement palettes and singles you already own, or even use this to replace those basic shades you’ve panned in palettes to extend their life.

Here’s a few looks I created using this palette this week. The shimmers on the lid are all some of my favorite Colourpop Super Shock Shadows, listed below.

Colourpop Koosh on the lid (similar permanent shade is I Heart This)
Colourpop Weenie on the lids (I love this look so much I did it twice this week!)
Colourpop Blaze on the lids
Colourpop So Quiche on the lids

Overall, I highly recommend this palette. It’s something that I plan to keep in my collection for whenever inspiration strikes, or whenever I plan to work my way through some of my Super Shock collection more intentionally.

What’s your favorite all matte palette? What’s your favorite palette to use with single shadows?
